An oval cabochon amethyst takes centre stage of this dramatic textured 18ct gold ring by Tiffany & Co. Made in the 1980s, this ring is a statement piece, a perfect demonstration of design and craftsmanship, it is great fun to wear. Tiffany & Co. need no introduction, and have always been synonymous with exceptional jewellery design. This immensely stylish ring pairs a vividly purple amethyst with a warm yellow gold, in a highly textured finish typical of the 1970s, where pioneering jewellers such as Andrew Grima, Charles de Temple and Pierre Sterlé were taking inspiration from the natural crystal and mineral forms of the precious materials they were using. The amethyst boast a depth of purple hues that dance throughout this polished gemstone. Typical of the quality expected of jewels by Tiffany & Co., the smoothly domed amethyst contrasts beautifully with the organic roughness of the mount, creating an imaginative and tactile vintage jewel, juxtaposing colour and texture, which is also extremely wearable today.

Condition and Wear:
Excellent; minor wear commensurate with age. Amethyst stone secure, safely set within gold fully covering the stone, no damage to the setting. Very minor scratches due to age. There are no major marks or scratches that we feel necessary to mention. All of our jewellery is professionally cleaned prior to us listing it.

Most of our rings can be resized unless stated otherwise in the item description. Simply add your required size in the notes section at checkout, and our team will take care of the rest!
Please allow an additional 5 to 10 working days to the delivery time. If you require your order for a particular date, please get in touch as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate.
You can purchase the ring and then return if for resizing if needed - if you buy an engagement ring, for instance, but it is not quite the right size for your partner. There is no additional charge for this but the buyer is responsible for the return postage and insurance.
