ARB's 2023 BAFTA-inspired Top 5 Trends

The BAFTA's were graced with Serpentine necklaces, Louis Vuitton pearls, DeBeers diamonds, Chopard chokers and to our surprise, diamond brooches. Here are our Top 10 BAFTA-inspired picks from our full collection.

Pearl necklaces. Cate Blanchett wore a stunning layered pearl necklace that featured repurposed Tahitian pearls and a tourmaline that was reused from a previous design. Not only do we love the combination, but we also love the sustainable element of repurposing and re-wearing! She chose the same dress she wore the previous year and gave it a new lease of life with her exquisite accessories.

British actress Lashana Lynch wore the Bulgari Serpenti necklace gracefully draped down her back while singer Ellie Goulding opted for a white diamond Serpenti collar necklace by Bulgari- we love the natural themes that were consistent through the attendee's jewellery choices and specifically the snake motifs that are ever present in Bulgari's collection.

These two looks reminded us of our sizzling Antique & Vintage serpent-inspired selection

Brooches continued to be a huge trend amongst the best-dressed men attending this year's BAFTAS. Irish actor, Paul Mescal caught our eye. He opted for a vintage platinum, white gold and diamond Cartier brooch that wonderfully encapsulated the old Hollywood mood and paired perfectly with his custom Gucci suit. We love to see brooches on the red carpet as for a long time they were cast aside as a relic of times gone by. It seems they have come back with a bang and we are here for it!

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner wore a pair of captivating tourmaline and diamond Louis Vuitton earrings. We loved to see this look as in the world of gemstones tourmaline is often forgotten despite it being a most beguiling stone! They matched perfectly with her red hair and bejewelled Louis Vuitton gown. Sophie's earrings were the rubellite or pink variety of tourmaline- however what most people don't know is this special gemstone occurs in almost every colour on the spectrum.

Angela Bassett supporting actress in Black Panther wore a hypnotising pair of diamond feather earrings while actress Jodie Turner-Smith was a vision in a  Gucci gown with feathers and lace appliqué. Natural motifs were heavy at this BAFTAs this year and we love it however thats not what inspired our final pick! Angela was dressed in a Pamella Roland lavender column gown with voluminous sleeves for added drama and Jodie in a lilac look with cascading crystal embroidery. In Angela's words the colour was "inspired by the tulips and flowers of spring" but the lush lavender pink hue of both dresses reminded us of our pink topaz collection. Featuring both rings and pendants, our antique beauties would have wonderfully complimented such impressive gowns.
